Concrete is a very versatile material. It can be used for driveways, patios, sidewalks, walls, buildings, streets, countertops and much more. Now you can add speakers to this list. Yes, concrete speakers.

Shmuel Linski, a graduate of Shenkar College of Engineering and Design in Israel, designed a set of concrete speakers that look and sound great. Linski’s speakers, dubbed Exposed, are based off of horn speaker technology in which an upper driver moves air through a pipe and out a horn-shaped opening at the bottom. The speakers weigh 123 pounds, giving them a strong presence in any room.

Linski molded the speakers himself as part of a graduation project. Since this project, he has also made other unexpected items out of concrete including a concrete espresso machine and a concrete canoe.
