Seismic Support for Old Foundations

After California's Loma Prieta quake in 1989, the average cost to repair houses that buckled off of their foundations was $25,000- $35,000. Some houses were not able to be salvaged. However, the average cost to provide sill bolting and cripple wall bracing to undamaged houses was $1,500 to $2,500.
