Each year, this contest is open to any contractor, architect or designer who uses or specifies Scofield Systems. Projects are judged on skill of installation, creativity, artistic expression, and integration with the overall design intent. This year the judges selected six grand prize winners from 100 entries, see them below.

Bay Contracting in Waltham, MA

GRAND PRIZE WINNER - Artistic Concrete Category: Bay Bathroom

All floor and wall tiles were integrally colored, then sealed with Scofield SelectSeal Plus.

Deco-Crete, LLC in Richmond, VA

GRAND PRIZE WINNER - Stained Concrete Category: Williamsburg Pottery

95,000 sf of LITHOCHROME Chemstain was expertly installed at Williamsburg Pottery. The colors used were: Padre Brown, Antique Amber and Weathered Bronze.

Floriartisan in Spokane, WA

GRAND PRIZE WINNER - Polished Concrete Category: Scribner Residence

This residential floor has a Grade 1, Class 2 polished slab with hundreds of feet of decorative saw cuts and various colors of Scofield Formula One Liquid Dye. Scofield Formula One Liquid Dye Concentrate colors were: Black, Bahama Blue in master bathroom, Inca Gold with Driftwood as the border in the office, Ponderosa in the guest bedroom. After the colors were applied, the concrete was densified with Formula One Lithium Densifier, and Formula One Guard-W was used as a protective coat.

Intricate Concrete Construction in Hawthorne, NY

GRAND PRIZE WINNER - Stamped Concrete Category: Pietra Marcone

Stone Gray LITHOCHROME Color Hardener and Classic Gray LITHOCHROME Antiquing Release were used as a base coloring material. LITHOCHROME Chemstain in a multitude of colors was then applied to the individual stones.

Connery Concrete in Vero Beach, FL

GRAND PRIZE WINNER - Integral Colored Concrete Category: Segmented Patio

The pool deck rectangles use CHROMIX Admixtures with 100% white cement.

Soil-Tech in Las Vegas, NV

GRAND PRIZE WINNER - Heavy/Highway Concrete Category: I-5 Retaining Wall – Caltrans

This project was over 250,000 square feet of LITHOCHROME Chemstain applied to a barrier wall that in some cases reached 20 feet in height. Application was made with a power driven sprayer, a man lift and the required protective gear. Scofield’s LITHOCHROME Chemstain Dark Walnut was applied with accents of Black Chemstain to create a concrete masterpiece that blends in well with the natural elements indigenous to the area.
