Make sure to use a product designed to leave a "wet-look" on the natural stones in the exposed aggregate mix. The product also needs to be non-yellowing.

Concrete sealers provide improved resistance to weather, water permeation, stains, and abrasives. Sealers also offer resistance to rain, sun, freezing temperatures, petroleum, and deicing salts.

On fresh concrete, be sure all cement paste residue has been thoroughly cleaned to avoid sealing the milky looking white paste on the surface.

On existing exposed aggregate concrete, thoroughly clean concrete before applying sealers.

Whichever brand sealer you use-from your local hardware store, Home Depot or Lowe's, or a pro contractor supply house-follow the specific instructions for the product you select in both preparation and application of the product.
