New Concrete Floors for Homes Damaged by KatrinaBrian and Marina Manzanares of Deco-Crete Designs, LLC located just outside of New Orleans, sent along these photos of projects they have been working on to restore homes and businesses damaged by Hurricane Katrina. I have attached some pictures of floors affected by Katrina that were either overlayed or resealed, Marina wrote in a recent email. This house is located about 1 mile from the Levee breach in Lakeview. The house was under 10 of standing water for almost one month. We overlayed the floors and when we came back, we had dog paws from the front of the house to the back. There were no doors on the house. We had to figure out how to hide the paws, Brian and the customer came up with the vein design. Prior to the storm, we were working at this restaurant location. Our job was 95% completed. Once they cleaned up and hung sheetrock, we went back. The floors were stripped, resealed and wax.
