Finished Concrete Basement

Wall, ceiling and floor covering options are many and varied. What they all have in common is that they should be chosen to complement any specific uses of the space in which they are installed. Standard acoustic tiles installed in a sauna, for instance, would warp and fall out in a very short time. Here are a few choices:

Walls:
Paint, wallpaper, brick or stone veneers, solid stone or brick, cast stone or brick ceramic tile. There are also cement based wall coating to put over concrete and masory walls as a decortive finish (Emekote 100).

Ceilings:
Paint (applied evenly over unfinished ceiling and all components in the ceiling with a paint sprayer, for camouflage purposes), suspended ceilings with acoustical tile, drywall, drywall with acoustical tile, mirrored ceilings such as mirrored acrylic sheets.

Floors:
Paint, laminate plank floors, carpet, ceramic tile, vinyl, wood (not recommended by many manufacturers).
