The Concrete Decor Show focuses on the hands-on training and continuing education decorative concrete contractors and specialty artisans need to expand their business opportunities. The third annual event offers 15 hands-on workshops and 45 seminars scheduled in San Antonio, Texas Feb. 20-24, 2012. The comprehensive educational program at the Concrete Decor Show features 60 courses providing a wealth of information to help contractors gain valuable knowledge and skills. Live demonstrations of equipment advancements and new products are scheduled at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center alongside exhibits. During three action-packed days, the demo pavilion showcases competitions in arenas dedicated to polished concrete, concrete coatings, and precast fabrication. A lunch, included with registration, is served in the exhibit hall on Wednesday and Thursday to allow attendees uninterrupted time to see the action and connect with industry leaders. What's new in 2012?
"The 2012 program offers a whole new slate of courses," says Bent Mikkelsen, Concrete Decor Show owner. "The demo pavilion has been enlarged so attendees can see projects from start to finish. Continuing our commitment to leaving behind great examples of decorative concrete in each city we visit, workshop participants will be a part of community projects to make lasting improvements in urban areas of San Antonio selected to benefit local charities. The site selections are to be announced soon."

A new Green Matters Conference on Feb. 23-24 brings together industry experts to share up-to-date information on sustainable technologies and trends in green building. This segment of the program is ideal for those who want to gain a perspective on the big picture of greening the construction industry, and also look more closely at new methods and how they are driving growth in decorative concrete. Seminars and panel discussions provide current information on infrared reflective coatings, innovative uses of concrete to provide cooling and stormwater management, advancements in functional resilience, environmental benefits of polished concrete, and an update on new scientific research translated for non-scientists.
