Concrete Keyboard and Mice Sculpture
Concrete KeyboardReferred to as a gigantic gadget, this keyboard is probably the largest full-scale keyboard in the world. The keyboard is a tool that the world relies on and the rhythm of these concrete blocks on a patchy hillside of grass is easily recognizable.
Each key is made of concrete and reflects even the concaved portion on the top of the keys. Each key is also marked with letters and commands such as 'shift' and 'enter' just as on a regular-sized keyboard. The keyboard grid was laid out on the grass. Each key was dug out and the concrete blocks were laid.
This urban sculpture was created by an unknown artist in Ekaterinburg, Russia.
Concrete MiceIn Xiamen, China, the silouhette of four concrete mice appear resting in the sand. Another unknown artist cast and placed these oversized but true-to-scale devices. Complete with "tails" or the more recognized cord of the computer mouse, the sculptures are a dramatic take on popular gadgets.
