Decorative Concrete Training Scholarships Educate Students in Growing IndustryYucaipa, CA October 27, 2004—The Concrete Network is sponsoring Decorative Concrete Training Scholarships from the Concrete Industry Management (CIM) Program at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU). Each scholarship recipient will attend an intensive two- to four-day training seminar at one of six locations nationwide. Companies and organizations presenting the seminars will waive their tuition (value $700-$1,500). Participants include Concrete Solutions, The Stamp Store, The Ultimate Edge, the Decorative Concrete Institute, Buddy Rhodes Studio, and The Concrete Countertop Institute. To be considered for the scholarship, CIM students must fill out an application provided by MTSU and write a letter stating why this opportunity would make a difference in advancing their career in the concrete field. The CIM program is a joint initiative of MTSU and leaders from the concrete industry. It gives students the opportunity to learn the skills necessary to enter a progressive, changing field while helping meet the industry's growing demands for trained professionals.
