This is your basic safety program. Printed in loose-leaf form, in a three ring binder, you can readily add new chapters as they are developed. The first copy is FREE to ASCC members. Extra copies available to members for $75 each ($395 each for non-members).

2) MIX Groups
The Management Information eXchange (MIX) Groups program for ASCC members is a way for CEO's of concrete construction firms to meet and trade information on their businesses without helping competitors or violating antitrust laws.

3) Member Bulletin

6) Free Safety Video Tapes
Videotapes are selected and reviewed by the ASCC Safety Committee. Order forms are available for current videos by calling (800) 877-2753.

7) ASCC has two telephone Hotlines
One is on all aspects of concrete construction. The other is on safety for the concrete contractor. These telephone lines are staffed by experts who can answer your questions.

8) Troubleshooting Newsletter
The question and answers from the HOTLINES are compiled in this publication. If one contractor is having a problem, chances are good that you'll have to deal with the same problem eventually. These are available to members for $25/set ($50/set to non-members). Newsletters currently in set of 46.

11) Employee Safety Handbook
Safety is one of the responsibilities of every contractor. This book is aimed at helping your employees work safely. The suggestions in the handbook are intended to make your work more efficient and profitable for you and your company. These handbooks are available to ASCC members at five copies for $3 ($6 each to non-members).

12) Owner's Guide to Quality Concrete
This brochure makes a great marketing tool for companies doing residential driveways, patios, and sidewalks. (The back has a space where you can print your company's name). Use for mailings and attach to bids. These are available to members in packs of 50 for $20 ($40/pack for non-members).

13) The Contractor's Guide to Quality Concrete Construction
The 1998 2nd Edition is a comprehensive 122-page book published jointly with the American Concrete Institute. It is a great training tool and a basic reference book. Some members distribute it to the engineers in their area as a promotional tool. Available at $32.50 to ASCC Members ($57 to non-members).

14) Hazard Communications Compliance Kit
This package produced b NAHB, ABC and ASA includes an audio tape for managers, a 26 minute video training tape, OSHA HAZCOM regulations, a training log for recording the dates and those attending the training sessions, and information on how to explain the law to your employees. FREE to ASCC Members.

15) Insurance Bulletins
Deals with insurance topics that you can use in answering some of your insurance questions. Topics include a glossary of terms to help sort out the insurance jargon in most of your paperwork. Available for $10/set for Members ($20/set for non-members). Bulletins currently in set of seven.

16) Guides for Implementing Effective Safety Programs
These guides are to be used in conjunction with your ASCC Safety Manual as a summary of the chapters. Concrete contractors will find this handy when trying to decide which chapter has the answer to their question. The guides are issued to all ASCC members as they are produced. 17) Guide for Surface Finish of Formed Concrete for Vertical Cast-In-Place Concrete
This ASCC Guide debuts as a unique industry tool that provides a method for defining acceptability of a vertically cast concrete surface, both in quality and appearance, among those responsible for specification, supervision and execution. It was prepared by the ASCC and Training Committee in cooperation with The Aberdeen Group.

18) Checklist for the Concrete Pre-Construction Conference
Prepared jointly by the American Society of Concrete Contractors and the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association. The checklist is a guide that decision makers and participants on a project can use to appropriately plan quality concrete construction work. These are available to members for $6.95 each ($10.95 each for non-members).

19) Cement Burn Poster
The Cement Burn Poster is the result of a cooperative effort between the ASCC Safety Committee and the NRMCA Safety Task Force. It will remind concrete contractors of the skin problems that may arise when using fresh concrete. Not only are there graphic pictures of the serious injures that wet concrete can cause, but there is also information on how to protect yourself and how to avoid getting burned. These are available to members for $8.75 each ($11.75 each to non-members).

20) Construction Spanish Pocket Dictionary
Pocket-sized dictionary of Spanish terms commonly used on construction projects. This dictionary is not written in textbook Spanish, but in Spanish used on the job. These are available to members for $4 each. ($5 each for non-members).
