1. Bowled Over by Color
Walking into the Alley at South Shore in Riverview, Fla., is like opening a box of Crayola crayons.You see almost every color of the rainbow on display in a dazzling array. For the concrete floor in this bowling and family entertainment center, water-based concrete stains were used to create an eye-catching graphic treatment that complements a colorful, glow-in-the-dark carpet. 2. Polished Floors Done Right

3. Salon Floor Glistens Like Copper
Customers who visit the upscale ITan salon in Norwalk, Conn., may leave with a sun-kissed glow, but it will pale in comparison to the brilliant, coppery sheen of the tanning salon's decorative epoxy floor. The 1,800-square-foot overlay delivers all the razzle dazzle the salon owner was after, glistening with russet-orange tones that complement the salon's bright color scheme. 4. Circle of Life
A decorative floor overlay with an unusual geometric design gives new life to a basement family room. The project involved cutting, free-hand, 240 circles into a stamped overlay. The circles were then accented with various colors of water-based stain. Read about the challenges involved to execute this labor-intensive project. |

5. Divine Intervention
A multicolored, polished overlay with a heptagonal centerpiece unifies the seven sides of this unusual church floor layout. To separate the different colors, aluminum divider strips were glued down before the overlay was placed. The surface was then seeded with decorative aggregate, including white marble and Mother of Pearl .
