Circular desk

1. Circular Concrete Reception Desk

This impressive concrete reception desk at the upscale Aloft Hotel in Milwaukee echoes the sleek, contemporary look of the facility while beautifully complementing the lobby's polished concrete floor. In addition to the circular shape, the desk had to accommodate storage cabinetry and computer systems while minimizing their view to the public. Learn how the desk was made.

Recycled glass countertops

2. Concrete Countertops
Personalized with Colored Glass

For this dramatic kitchen makeover, pieces of glass tile from a new backsplash were incorporated into custom concrete countertops to echo the beautiful green color tones in the tile and create a harmonious appearance. In addition, the concrete mix itself is made from recycled glass with a cement binder.
Custom bartop

3. Concrete Bartop Adds "Artisinal" Flair

The owners of a neighborhood bar specializing in craft beer wanted a new bartop that reflected the artisinal quality of their beers, something handcrafted and made locally. The solution was this 25-foot-long cast-in-place concrete bartop custom made from recycled materials.
Rustic kitchen countertop

4. Concrete Countertop
Complements a Log Cabin Kitchen

Swirls of rustic colors, earthy aggregates, and a roughened edge make this concrete countertop the perfect partner for a hewn-log backsplash. The homeowners were looking for a countertop that would complement the beauty of their log-cabin home and the surrounding countryside while standing up to constant culinary abuse.

S-shaped countertop

5. S-shaped Countertop

Custom made for an outdoor cabana, this unusual S-shaped countertop was poured onsite in one piece. The countertop base blends layers of light gray and charcoal-gray concrete, while the surface was stamped with small texture skins to resemble pieces of stone. See how the countertop was formed and cast.
