Envirosafe Manufacturing Corp - Treating Concrete the Eco-friendly Way

Ten years ago, Nicholas and Judith Frisco and her father, Raymond Crippen Ph.D., decided to take their company to the next level. At the time, they were distributing concrete and masonry cleaners, sealers, degreasers and coatings.

"The manufacturers kept raising the rates," Nicholas Frisco explains. "So we decided to form our own manufacturing company." The company, called Envirosafe Manufacturing Corp., is located in Melbourne, Florida. Judith serves as President and Nicholas as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. What they created is a range of environmentally safe products using state-of-the-art ingredients.

Judith, who (along with her father, Dr. Crippen) developed all the formulations for the products the company manufactures and sells, has a Bachelor's degree in fine arts and a background in unique coatings. Nicholas has experience in management, and also served in the hotel industry for 26 years as an executive for companies including Hilton and Westinghouse.

Both individuals are dedicated to providing environmentally safe products to the entire world. According to their website, the company's mission statement is, "To be recognized as the leading manufacturer of environmentally safe products. We can achieve this goal by continually improving our product formulas, providing responsive customer service, and treating our clients and employees alike with honesty and integrity."

"Our formulations are created with great care and concern for the applicator," says Nicholas of the products -- all of which are non-toxic and non-flammable -- that are tested both in laboratories and in the field. Their product range includes concrete and masonry sealers, rust and stain removers for concrete, efflorescence removers, brick cleaners and coatings for concrete. The coatings and cleaners are considered safe enough for homeowner use, as well as strong enough for professionals on all types of properties.

Their number-one seller is Trojan Masonry Sealer, a penetrating polyester polymer used to seal and waterproof all types of concrete slabs, walkways, driveways, brick walls, concrete walls, block and stucco. It permanently waterproofs, preserves and protects concrete and masonry surfaces from cracking, peeling, dusting and absorbing water. The sealer is easy to apply, has no volatile organic compounds, and is non-toxic, non-flammable, non-hazardous and water-soluble. It can be applied with a roller, pump sprayer or electric sprayer and will not harm glass, aluminum, metal, plants or aquatic life.

The uniqueness of the product was outlined in the H. C. Nutting and City of Cincinnati Garage Analysis Test. The test was designed to compare several water-based sealers and the claims that each made as to the penetration, durability, water proofing quality and effectiveness of the products when applied to a concrete surface.

The results, by way of a core analysis test, showed conclusively that Trojan Masonry Sealer penetrated and waterproofed the concrete. Additionally, after submerging the core in a 50/50 solution of blue tap water to propyl alcohol for 56 hours at the same hydrostatic head, there was no penetration to the core treated with Trojan Masonry Sealer.

Among the sealer's advantages include:

• Penetration and elimination of alkali and lime from deteriorating surfaces;
  

• Insulation and waterproofing of all cementious surfaces;
  

• Can be used as preparation for walls or floors prior to surface applications of coatings like oil-based paint, epoxy, urethanes and acrylics;
  

• Reduction of hydration of water through the surface as evidenced by calcium chloride tests;
  

• Reduction of efflorescence when applied to mortar joints protecting the brick or stone from the "white bloom".

Another product, the Red Clay Stain Remover, is a "must have" product for areas of the country where there is red clay that stains concrete, brick and stucco surfaces. The Red Clay Stain Remover will not harm concrete, brick or stucco. After application, tools can be easily cleaned using just soap and water.

The sealer, which Nicholas says is probably the best waterproofing product in the world, also prepares the surface for their finish coatings such as Armor Coat "Anti-Slip" Texture Coating, Armor Coat Colored Finish and Armor Coat Clear for Concrete.

The Armor Coat "Anti-Slip" Texture Coating is a 100 percent acrylic coating available in 10 colors, which can be applied to all types of concrete that has been properly cleaned and prepared. Armor Coat Colored Finish, (available in 10 colors that match the Anti-Slip coating) is an acrylic coating that can be applied over the Anti-Slip coating to provide a satin finish shine and ease of cleaning, or it can be used by itself on all types of concrete or masonry surfaces. Armor Coat Clear for Concrete is a tough clear acrylic with a high gloss that can be used in waterproofing, sealing and putting that "finishing touch" on concrete.

The NuLook Concrete and Masonry Cleaner is a unique fluid-applied cleaner that removes oil, grease, rust stains, tire marks and more from concrete and masonry surfaces, making it look new again without harming the surface. After cleaning the surface, the NuLook formulation causes a whitening effect on the surface treated, which gives it that "new look". Envirosafe recommends following a NuLook application with Trojan Masonry Sealer.

Envirosafe also has a distributor program that is always open for enrollment, and there are also factory representative agreements available for interested parties. The company currently manufactures products in Melbourne, Florida, and Perth, Australia. Envirosafe is currently working to license manufacturers in other countries, focusing on the United Kingdom first before expanding to other nations.
